2.4 World Championship 2022
A message from the US 2.4 Class:
“Calling all 2.4mR Sailors!!! The 2022 World Championships are coming up! November is coming soon and you don't want to miss out on the fun and competition. It has been a while since the sailors in the USA have hosted and we are ready to put on a great event. The US class and Canadian class are ready to reestablish old relationships and form new ones both on and off the water.
This year's Worlds are going to be held at the Davis Island Yacht Club in sunny Tampa Florida. The festivities begin November 5th and run through the 11th. The venue is set inside of Tampa Bay and just 15 minutes from the Tampa Airport. Some charter boats may be available and interested parties should immediately contact Tony Pocklington US,A Class President at +1 239-707-0076, captiva_24@yahoo.com, to request a boat.
The sailing will take place in front of the yacht club and winds average 7 to 12 knots within the protected bay. Weather should still be warm and the water temperature warm as well. The club may have some billeting available and hotels are plentiful within a short distance of the club.
